Burke was definetely more interested in players who were close to the NHL than a 2nd rounder. He didn't want an 18 year old, he wanted someone already developped.
Like I said, the negotiations started with Tangradi, the Pens countered with picks, and they eventually settled on Caputi. The Kings had offered a prospect, but I'm not sure who, Burke was interested though. The Preds wouldn't move off their offer which was strictly picks. |
